9. Miss Teen USA 2007 - South Carolina Answers a Question
I can't think it would be easy to stand up infront of a live television audience of millions and answer a question that has been thrown at you from left field but Miss South Carolina 2007's answer to the question of Why American's fail to recognise their own country on a map - is pure stream of consciousness comic gold. I have friends who are comedy writers who marvel at how nonsensical this response is. In a way her inability to construct a coherent sentance answers the question, though in her maelstrom of nonsense it almost sounds like she is blaming other countries - like South Africa and and Iraq (such as).The thing is she doesn't know what she is saying (nobody does) but she keeps going in that beauty pagent style, confidence and grace. Little miss Sunshine she most certainly isn't but after 24,000,000 hits more people in the US know that she's Miss South Carolina than where their own country is.

I personally believe that US Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have maps, and I believe that our education, like such as South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should -- our education over here in the US should help the US -- or should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children.
